Piercing Aftercare Instructions for Non Oral Piercings

 

• Wash your hands thoroughly with an approved Antimicrobial soap such as Opti-Scrub, first.

• NEVER touch your new piercing without washing your hands thoroughly with an approved Antimicrobial soap such as Opti-Scrub, first.

• Wash with an approve Antimicrobial soap such as Opti-Scrub, once daily. Lather up a dime size amount with your finger tips and gently wash your new piercing, ensuring that all build up is removed.  Let air dry or use disposable paper towels.

• Use H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray after washing and additionally, a minimum of 6 times daily.

• Do NOT rinse off the H2Ocean Aftercare Spray.

• An anti-inflammatory such as Ibuprofen may help with swelling.

 

Piercing Aftercare Instructions for Oral Piercings.

 

Interior Cleaning:

• Wash your hands thoroughly with an approved Antimicrobial soap such as Opti-Scrub, first.

• NEVER touch your new piercing without washing your hands thoroughly with an approved Antimicrobial soap such as Opti-Scrub, first.

• Do NOT put ANYTHING besides foods and drinks in your mouth while piercings are still healing.

• Rinse with H2Ocean Aftercare Mouthwash or another non-alcohol based mouthwash after meals and before going to sleep.

• Do not rinse your mouth with anything else after using the H2Ocean Aftercare Mouthwash.

• Floss daily and use a soft bristled toothbrush. Brush the jewelry as well as teeth, tongue and gums.

 

Exterior Cleaning:

• Wash with an approved Antimicrobial soap such as Opti-Scrub, once daily. Lather up a dime size amount with your finger tips and gently wash your new piercing, ensuring that all build up is removed.  Let air dry or use disposable paper towels.

• Use H2Ocan Piercing Aftercare Spray after washing and additionally, a minimum of 6 times daily.

• An anti-inflammatory such as Ibuprofen may help with swelling. Additionally, allow ice chips to dissolve in mouth throughout the day for the first few days.

 

Additional information concerning all piercings:

 

• Do NOT soak your new piercings in bathtubs, pools, jacuzzi’s, lakes, rivers, oceans or any other bodies of water. SHOWERS ONLY!

• Avoid sleeping on new piercings or causing any additional trauma to them.

• Each of your piercings may take a longer or shorter period of time to heal thoroughly. Be patient and continue following these Aftercare Instructions until your piercing is entirely healed all the way through. Even though it may seem healed on the outside, the inside may still be healing.

• Significant swelling, light bleeding and some bruising with tenderness for the first 3 to 5 days, is normal. This timetable may vary from one individual to another and from one particular piercing to another.

• There will likely be a small amount of discharge during the initial healing process. The H2Ocean Aftercare Spray and H2Ocean Aftercare Mouthwash will help break down any of the dried residue from this discharge and keep the hole open allowing a channel for replaced cells to move through, which should prevent a backup and ensure the smoothest possible healing process.
